Project Nurture Book Drive
Research shows that access to books is associated with more opportunities to build children's literacy skills; it is critical to help young children be ready for school by working with them to develop early literacy and learning skills. Strong reading skills form the basis for learning in all subjects! Our latest Family Survey results show that 71% of our home-based program families have less than 25 children's books in their home. In response, Project Eagle has developed a Birthday Book Club in an effort to get additional books into the homes of the children and families that we serve.
Save the date to join Project Eagle on Friday, April 19, from 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. for Project Nurture, a happy hour and Birthday Book Club book drive event, and help us nurture a love of reading by filling our Birthday Book Club bookshelves. All guests are asked to bring at least one new infant or toddler board book to the event that can be given to a child enrolled in our program.
This event is free to attend; cocktails and light appetizers will be served. To RSVP for the April Project Nurture event, please click here.
